The project

Chateau Gigognan is a historic wine estate in the Rhône Valley. It mainly produces wines in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes-du-Rhône Villages appellations and offers wine tourism activities and luxury accommodation.

Château Gigognan wanted to create a website that would reflect its image and benefit from a good visibility on the Internet. The objective is to propose to its customers an intuitive, design, powerful and more modern website than the previous one.
The agency l'eau à la bouche thus participated in the improvement of the brand image of the Château, to create its online wine sales system and online reservation of nights and activities.

Storefront

Château Gigognan initially wanted a showcase site to highlight its history and know-how and gain visibility on the Internet. The website had to illustrate the dynamism and the renewal that the Château wishes to show. We therefore first undertook a redesign of its web identity.

The Château also offers wine tourism activities and events and wanted to encourage people to visit and discover the Château via its website. This is now done thanks to a category dedicated to the proposed wine tourism activities such as wine tasting, bike ride in the vineyards, etc.

An accommodation section also allows you to book the entire Château or one of the magnificent rooms of the Château. We have linked the tool to the classic reservation platforms (Booking.com...) also used by the Château. A single system for all reservations for a simple user interface and easy use.

E-Commerce

In a second step, the objective was to develop a modern and powerful e-commerce platform under WooCommerce.
They therefore called upon the agency l'eau à la bouche to develop their e-commerce solution and to carry out the development and management of the project.
The work done includes a reflection on the user experience. This is based on the discovery of the Château's ranges by giving the novice or connoisseur enough explanation to make his choice among the vintages, appellations and vintages. An essential element is also the ease of ordering, which must be possible in a few clicks.

Packaging

L'eau à la bouche has also worked on several packagings for Château Gigognan. For example, this top-of-the-range cuvée, 'Collection Stéphane Hénin', edited at less than 300 bottles. A cuvée created in homage to the father of the owner Jean-François Hénin. This confidential and elitist cuvée is only produced on exceptional vintages. Our mission was therefore to create a packaging that would be up to the task.
